We renovated the ground-floor apartment of a small building dating back to the fifties.
The neighbourhood, despite its closeness to the city centre, is quiet and the streets are lined with trees. The apartment has a small garden bordering on the road and a larger one at the back, both needing care. In spite of its generous size, the flat had an unpractical layout, and some rooms were dark.
Therefore we rearranged the rooms so as to minimize the fragmentation of space, and thus gave the flat a spacious, airy feeling . Of course, we also performed structural consolidation works and replaced all systems.
Now the rooms are sunny, the walls have been painted in pastel colours harmonizing with the original marble agglomerate flooring. The garden became a small private oasis, the ideal haven for reading a book under the shady trees.
